DELIcious at The Marc Residence

Five years later after the opening of their very first outlet, DELIcious has evolved into a popular chain of restaurants well-known not only for its decadent desserts, but also its selection of irresistible culinary delights and sophisticated ambience. True to its name, DELIcious’ offerings can be summed up in just two words: Simply Delicious.

The chic and stylish DELIcious at The Marc Residence has an incredibly cosy, warm and inviting atmosphere. Some might find the open and airy spaces inspirational – perfect for an informal discussion or catching up on some work while grabbing a bite to eat. Busiest during lunchtime almost every day of the week, the restaurant is also quite packed on Fridays and Saturday nights with the club-going crowd.

DELIcious at The Marc Residence has quite an extensive list of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Its booze list consists of bottled beers, flavoured martinis, aperitifs, champagnes, whiskies, cognacs, bourbons, rums, gins, tequilas, vodkas and liquers, with world-renowned labels such as Smirnoff, Moet Chandon, Baileys and Jack Daniels. It also has a selection of gourmet coffees, teas, chocolate drinks, fruit juices, smoothies, shakes and tasty selection of frosties. We tried the delightfully-refreshing Watermelon & Lychee Blast and Frosty Lemongrass & Lychee – two of DELIcious’ most popular frosties – which are bursting with flavour with just the right amount of sweetness.

DELIcious’ offerings come in just the right portion – not too much that we have difficulty finishing them, and not too little that there weren’t enough to go around. We were given DELIcious’ signature dishes to try: Grilled Chicken Cos Lettuce Salad with avocado, cranberries and turkey bacon in ranch dressing, Duck Confit Spaghettini with sun-dried tomatoes and coriander, Yakitori Chicken Skewers marinated in yakitori sauce with a generous sprinkling of sesame seed, Marsala Lamb Shank with pilaf rice, cucumber raita and poppadum, Shepherds Pie with garden greens salad on the side and Fried Calamari with homemade tartare sauce. The salad is creamy and fulfilling with big, satisfying chunks of chicken, while the spaghettini – my personal favourite – contains just the right amount of tanginess with the duck confit tender and not too crispy, just the way I like it. The chicken skewers are grilled to perfection – sticky and crispy on the outside yet tender inside, while the marsala lamb has none of the strong, gamey taste normally associated with lamb dishes.
